Student-Run Benefit at Ѹ Celebrates Beer

Hyde Park, NY – The senior class of Ѹ presents Cheers to the Beers at the college’s campus in Hyde Park, NY on Saturday, November 14, beginning at 6 p.m. The evening is a benefit supporting and Ѹ student scholarships.

Cheers to the Beers will include a cocktail hour and silent auction followed by a four-course meal complete with beer pairings. During the dinner, guest speaker Adam Dulye, a 1997 Ѹ graduate and executive chef of the Brewers Association, will talk about the pairing of craft beer and fine cuisine. A guitarist and violinist will provide live music throughout the evening. Tickets are $95 per person, including tax and service. A portion of the ticket price is tax deductible.

For this capstone project of their Foodservice Management course, the class conceived the event’s theme and is completely managing Cheers to the Beers through planning and execution. Putting together everything they have learned in their four years of education at the Ѹ, the students are working in finance, marketing, food, and service teams to create a memorable evening for two good causes.
